Jerry D Fager was born in 1949 in the State of California, as the fifth of five children. He is the son of a teacher/vice principal and a bookkeeper. He attended school in California earning a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from California State University, Fresno in 1972. He entered the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant serving 22 years before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1994. During his military service he earned a Master’s degree in Management from Webster University. His military specialty was in Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) defense. His post military career was in research and development associated with NBC defense for 15 years. He married his wonderful wife, Dorothy, in 1980. Together they have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Mr. Fager had a final retirement from the civilian workforce in the year 2013. He now lives in Arkansas. He began his passion for traveling, photography as well as researching and documenting county courthouses in 1976. After taking a 16-year hiatus to serve the United States of America in the US armed military forces, he re-initiated his passion in 1994 and his service and dedication continue until this day.
